One may quickly check the details of Traffic Cases (known or unknown) for his/her vehicle from Kolkata Traffic Police website. I am sure some of us know and use this already.
To do this please go to http://kolkatatrafficpolice.org and click on "Make Online Payment" from left hand panel. Another page will open where you must provide your Vehicle No and Last 5 character of Chassis No. Email id and Mobile No. are optional.
Alternatively you can directly go to https://117.239.24.85/ to access this page. If you want you can directly pay for the Unpaid Case(s) using Credit Card of SBI net banking. There is also a SMS facility but not sure about the working details.
Also for lodging any complain including Misbehaviour / Faulty Meter / Wrong and Dangerous Driving / Overcharging / Refusal to take to the destination / Not stopping bus at the bus-stop etc. for any Public transport (Taxi, Auto, Rickshaw, Bus or Mini Bus) you can go to http://kolkatatrafficpolice.org/Complaint.html and register the complain.
