We sincerely acknowledge the participation from all residents of DCW to celebrate 64th National Independence Day (3rd in DCW Campus).
Preparation and Unfurling the Tricolor
Few residents and JLL staffs gathered in the Central Lawn by 7:00 AM to start preparation for Flag Hoisting, Blood Donation Camp, Sit N Draw Competition and Tree Plantation. Along with many other residents; Anudhyan Talukdar, Debanjan Mallick and Alok Agarwal decorated the map of India like last two years.
Kids jumped out their bed in early morning, dressed up and gathered in the central lawn along with their parents. Senior Citizens and other residents started gathering from 7:45 am onwards. Mr. Subol Kr. Das, one of the senior most residents in DCW unfurled the tricolor followed by Singing of National Anthem by all residents. Senior Citizens like Mr. Dhiraj Ganatra, Mr. Sunil Chatterjee, Mr. Bipadbhanjan Biswas said few words of inspiration.
Wheel Chair Donated by DCWSDC
On this auspicious occasion, DCW Sarbojanin Durgotsav Committee (resident's only democratically elected committee ), donated a folding Wheel Chair for the society. Secretaries of DCWSDC, Gouri Shanker Singh and Gobindo Prasad Senapti handed over the wheel chair to JLL Property Manager in presence of all residents and Mr. Diptimoy Chatterjee, President, DCWSDC. This will be kept in JLL office and anyone can contact 514/511/512 to avail this during emergency.
Performance by DCW Kids and Karate Show
Kids of DCW, performed in a composition conceptualized by Anindita Halder and Shibani Biswas. This was followed by a Karate Show by the Children of DCW.
Sit and Draw Competition
Conducted by Sourav Sanyal and Mr. N. S. Das and many others, DCW witnessed more than 100+ young talents participated in this competition. Refer to DCW 3695 and DCW 3696 for results and further details.
Tree Plantation
Initiated by Himanshu Dave and some other, children of DCW planted around 20 saplings this time. Property Manager, Kamalika Mukhejee and JLL team along with Gardeners did handhold the kids and youngster. All saplings now carry the name of its guardians – 2/3 children on DCW in a temporary placard. Since we received many names during the event, soon these will be replaced by permanent board including the newly added names.
Blood Donation Camp
AMRI officials reached DCW by 9 AM. The camp and setup was already completed Mr. Kaushik Halder and team. The registration queue as well as the camp was managed by many volunteers including Gobindo Senapati, Jayanta Chakraborty, Gouri S. Singh and few others. DCW registered 75+ willing blood donors this time. Certificates, Cards and Medical Reports will be provided by AMRI within 15 days.
Thus we concluded morning session, response for all events were overwhelming. We mentioned few names, but there were many more, probably all the residents. Everyone join hands in true spirit to make the event successful, even God extended his blessing in the form of a bright day J
