DCW Google is meant for residents of DCW Behala. All residents of DCW can share their views and seek any kind help (medical, academicals, personal or commercial) among themselves. 30 November, 2010 : DCW Google Group Launched with 300+ members by Partha Pratim Roy (T3/7E)
24 January, 2011 : Two moderators join hands. Aniruddha Sinha (T4/2G) and Anirban Sinha (T9/9B)
1 February, 2011 : This forum crossed 1000 communications in this group in only 61 days
5 March, 2011 : As the first initiative of Google Group "Arsenic Testing" of DCW Water was done
21 March 2011 : Service withhold for 72 hours to implement new regulations. Moderation started.
10 April, 2011 : DCW Google Group organised Health Camp for Senior Citizens
14 April, 2011 : This forum crossed 2000 emails in this group
29 May, 2011 : DCW Google Group arranged a Health Check-up Camp for all residents
29 May, 2011 : Moderators of this forum started Pulse Polio Immunization Camp on every subsequent Polio Sunday
25 June, 2011 : DCW Google Group organised and sponsored a Cultural Evening followed by Community Dinner to mark the 150th Birth Centenary of Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore; as well as show respects to great revolutionary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam
26 June, 2011 : This forum crossed 3000 email communications
15 August, 2011 : DCW Google Group organised and sponsored 15th August Celebration followed by a Cultural Evening and Community Dinner
9 September, 2011 : This forum registered 4000 email communications
10 September, 2011 : Talk Show with Kolkata Police another initiative by DCW Google Group
30 November, 2011 : DCW Google Group Celebrated its First Anniversary with around 5000 emails and 1060 members
Other than the above events DCW Google Group played active and major role of various events namely:
1. Arranging Sponsors for Saraswati Puja 2011
2. Celebrating Holi and Dol Yatra 2011 with a Cultural Evening
3. Formation of a bye law and unbiased initiative for electing a Residents' Committee
4. Meeting with Promoters and Property Management on various issues for common interest
5. Facilitating the General Meeting to organize a peaceful Durga Puja and Diwali in 2011
6. Arranging The Telegraph In Schools (TTIS) fun filled event for various festivals days.
